Adam Lusso · Custom Tailoring

The Process

A custom suit is not a transaction. It is a deliberate collaboration between a man who knows what he wants and a tailor who knows how to deliver it. Here is exactly what that looks like.

Adam Lusso works with a select number of clients at any given time. Every fitting receives Tai's full personal attention — which means your time is respected, and so is his. This process is designed for the man who is ready to invest in himself, not the man who is still deciding if he should.

1
Step One
The Consultation

This is not a sales call. It is a conversation about your life — where you go, who you meet, and the impression you want to leave. We discuss your wardrobe goals, your existing style, and what you actually need versus what you think you need. Tai will ask direct questions and give direct answers. If we are not the right fit for each other, we will know here — and that is a good thing for both of us.

Consultations are available in-person in Dallas or virtually. Come prepared to talk about your lifestyle, not just the suit.
2
Step Two
Fabric Selection

You will choose from a curated selection of fabrics sourced from the world's most prestigious mills — Loro Piana, Ermenegildo Zegna, Vitale Barberis Canonico, and Reda 1865, among others. Each fabric is presented with context: its weight, drape, season, and what it communicates. This is not about picking a color. It is about choosing the material that will carry your presence into every room you enter. Expect to spend real time here — the right fabric changes everything.

Fabric selection is included in your consultation. Swatches can be viewed in person or discussed in detail during a virtual session.

Step Three
Precision Measurement

This is where the difference between custom and off-the-rack becomes undeniable. Every measurement is taken by hand — not estimated, not templated. Shoulder pitch, chest drop, posture, arm length, seat, rise — over 20 individual points mapped precisely to your frame. No two bodies are the same, and no two Adam Lusso patterns are the same. The pattern built for you will never be used for anyone else.

Measurement appointments take approximately 45 to 60 minutes. Wear a well-fitting shirt and the type of trousers you typically prefer — this helps calibrate your natural stance and comfort.
4
Step Four
Fitting & Refinement

You will have fittings as needed before your suit is complete. Each one is a checkpoint — not a formality. We evaluate the drape across your shoulders, the break of your trousers, the suppression through the waist, and how the jacket moves when you do. If something is not right, we fix it. No shortcuts. This stage is what separates a suit that looks expensive from one that looks like it was built for you — because it was.

Your fitting schedule is tailored to you — we work together until every detail is exactly right before final delivery.
5
Step Five
Delivery

Your suit arrives pressed, packaged, and ready. But delivery is not the end of the relationship — it is the beginning of it. Adam Lusso clients return because the experience earns it. You will know how to care for your garment, how to wear it well, and when to come back for the next one. Most clients do not stop at one.

Production timelines vary by complexity and fabric availability. Typical turnaround is 6 to 10 weeks from final measurement. Rush requests may be accommodated depending on scheduling.

Who This Is For

Adam Lusso is built for a specific kind of man.

He understands that how he shows up is part of how he performs.
He is ready to invest — not looking for the cheapest option.
He values his time and expects the same respect in return.
He wants a suit built for his life — not borrowed from someone else's.

If that is not where you are right now, no hard feelings. When you are ready, we will be here.
